The Problem
Surface and subsurface drill rigs are operated in remote and isolated locations and rely on ground water sources for the water supply. Depending on the location, the ground water supply will have high mineral loading and the water can be extremely hard and corrosive. Used directly on the drill rigs this water causes hard water scaling problems leading to premature failure of components including O-rings and box seals. This can cost thousands of dollars in repairs and hours of down time!
Softerwater Solution
Installing a catalytic Softerwater Conditioner to the water supply line or to the equipment itself makes subtle changes to the minerals in the water stream. This helps to reduce the surface tension and hardness of the water. The minerals remain in suspension and flow through the system, mitigating hard water problems and increasing the usable life of the components. In the end, you will reduce maintenance and replacement parts and have increased production!
