The Problem
Washing machines, dishwashers, fridges, combi ovens and coffee machines all have solenoids that control the flow of water and heating elements that heat the water you are using to clean your clothes, dishes and heat the water that generates steam in your coffee machine or combi oven. Fridges have condensers plates to cool water and make ice. Left untreated, minerals like calcium, magnesium, and iron found in hard water will build up on the solenoids, heating elements, steam nozzles, condenser plates causing them to fail prematurely or block up with scale.
Washing Machines & Dishwashers
The washing powders, conditioners and rinse aids used in washing machines and dishwashers do not mix well with hard water. You end up using more than you need. Your clothes, towels, and sheets feel like cardboard and your dishes and glasses don’t feel clean.
Heating Elements
Washing machines, dishwashers, combi ovens and coffee machines all have heating elements. When water is heated, hard water problems intensify and get worse. Scale will build up and continue to build up along the length of the heating element. As the scale gets thicker you must heat the water for longer to get hot water, costing you money. Eventually, the heating element will develop hot spots and burn out, costing you money to replace it.
The Solution
Watersoft is designed to be fitted on the cold or hot water supply on any washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, combi oven or coffee machine tap. It takes just minutes to install. Our catalytic alloy core makes changes to those hard water minerals so you can get softer water and have solenoid, heating element, steam nozzle and condenser plate protection!
Benefits
Installation Is Simple
Washing Machines & Dishwashers
You can do this or pay a handyman or plumber to do the installation. It only takes two or three minutes.
- First, turn off the water supply to the machine and unscrew the hose (if you use hot and cold water in your washing machine) from the tap.
- Make sure the rubber washer is inserted in the conditioner and screw the conditioner to the tap.
- Get the end of the hose and screw the hose to the conditioner and tighten slightly.
- Turn the water back on slowly and make sure there is no leak. If there is a leak, then tighten the fittings and check for leaks again.
Remember if you move homes take the conditioner with you!
Fridges With Water Dispensers & Ice Makers

Fill up a jug with the conditioned water from the cold water faucet and pour it into the combi oven or coffee machine water compartment.
